LaneSync offers a Free plan for small teams and a Pro plan for unlimited repository bootstraps. Billing applies to the hosted SaaS at lanesync.dev.

Plan comparison

A managed repository counts toward your limit once bootstrap reaches COMPLETE. Repos still in setup (PR_CREATED, SETUP_PENDING, etc.) do not count until setup finishes.

Free plan limit

When your workspace already has the maximum number of bootstrapped repos, starting bootstrap on a new repository returns HTTP 402 Payment Required:
The repo setup wizard shows an upgrade prompt instead of creating a bootstrap PR.
Only repositories with bootstrap state COMPLETE count toward the Free plan limit.

Request a Pro upgrade

Only workspace admins can request an upgrade.
1

Open Billing settings

Go to lanesync.devSettingsBilling tab.
2

Choose billing cycle

Select Monthly or Annual billing. Annual pricing includes approximately two months free compared to monthly.
3

Submit payment reference

Click Upgrade to Pro. Review the payment instructions, complete payment outside LaneSync (bank transfer, UPI, or method shown in the form), and enter your payment reference (transaction ID or reference number).LaneSync calls POST /api/billing/upgrade and creates a pending payment request.
4

Wait for approval

A LaneSync platform admin reviews your request. Once approved, your workspace moves to Pro with unlimited repositories and an active billing period.
While a request is pending, the Billing tab shows its status. You cannot submit a second request until the first is approved or rejected.

Admin payment approval flow

Pro upgrades use manual payment verification — there is no self-serve card checkout in the dashboard today.
  1. Workspace admin submits upgrade with payment reference
  2. Request appears in the LaneSync Admin — Billing queue (platform operators only)
  3. Admin verifies payment against bank records
  4. Admin clicks Approve or Reject
  5. On approval, the tenant plan updates to Pro and repository limits are lifted immediately
Include a clear payment reference and optional note when submitting — this speeds up approval.

Enterprise and self-hosted billing

Self-hosted and Enterprise deployments use separate licensing — not the hosted Free/Pro tiers. Enterprise customers run LaneSync in their own environment with custom domains, data residency, and org-controlled GitHub Apps.
